Penuel Lane Studios is on Penuel Lane in Pontypridd. 

Getting into the Studios

• The main gate has a clearance of 108cm. 
• The route from the gate to the front door is via a paved slope. 
• The slope levels next to the front door (with 160cm space in front of the door).
• The way in is lit by a street light and sensor light when dark.
• The front door has a clearance of 90cm.
• The floor at the front door threshold currently has a 4cm raised lip to gain access. It is gradual but not a smooth ramped threshold.

How to get to Penuel Lane Studios

Public Transport

By Bus

Penuel Lane Studios is close to bus stops at Catherine Street and the main Pontypridd Bus Station. To check your route, use the Traveline Cymru website. 

From Catherine Street bus stops, walk up Gelliwastad Road (away from the roundabout) and take the second right onto Penuel Lane (4 minute walk).

From Pontypridd Bus Station, walk down Taff Street, and take the second right onto Penuel Lane (5 minute walk).

By Train

Pontypridd Train Station is an 8 minute walk from Penuel Lane Studios. 

From the train station, head left on the main road (Sardis Road). Turn right at the roundabout onto Gelliwastad Road, and take the second right onto Penuel Lane. 

Parking

There is no designated parking for Penuel Lane Studios, although there is some unmarked street parking on Penuel Lane. 

We recommend using one of the two local car parks:

Cycling

There currently aren’t any designated cycle racks for the studios. There are some racks near the bus station / library or the studios front yard does have railings you could lock on to (bring a long lock).

Communal Spaces

Floor Surface

The floor in the foyer and communal space are both carpeted, with colour contrast between the two rooms.

Lighting

Currently there is only overhead strip lighting. We are working on other options!

Seating

There are a mix of chairs with and without arms. There are also some adjustable height chairs. One comfy soft chair is also available.

Noise

As this is a new space, we don’t fully know the noise impact – between studio spaces, street, and our upstairs neighbours. As this becomes more clear, we will mitigate as best we can.

Kitchen

There is a galley kitchen in the main communal area. The entry width is 76cm wide. There is not sufficient space for a wheelchair to turn around in the kitchen. Counter top height is 92cm.

Toilet Info

There is one accessible toilet (it is the same toilet for everyone). 

Currently the doorway to access that toilet has a clearance width of 69cm. 

We know this isn’t ideal and are thinking about how we can make this wider.
